It is a busy time of year for the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce, with the next big event — the Chamber’s annual dinner and auction fund-raiser — taking place this Saturday, March 16, at Firemens Hall in Collinsville.

Along with a 2-hour Murder Mystery Show, presented by the Murder Mystery Co., the event will include auction items to bid on, 50/50 drawings, and a dinner buffet catered by Cygan and Delaney.

A portion of the proceeds go to student scholarships in the Metro East, the Chamber said.

“This is the only TMSM Chamber of Commerce fund-raiser of the year,” the Chamber states on its website. “A portion of the proceeds will go directly to our 501-C3 Scholarship Fund.”

The Chamber also just launched a newly designed website, located at

On March 20, the Chamber will host a Business Before Breakfast event from 8:30 – 10 a.m. at Studio & Party Place, 727 Edwardsville Rd, Troy. Troy Detective Tony Luther will talk about protecting your business. On April 2 it will host a Creating Business Connection event from 11:30-1 p.m at the Red Apple Restaurant in Maryville.

The next big community event planned by the Chamber, the Spring 2019 Community Expo, will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. on April 18 at Triad High School.  The event will feature the popular Touch-A-Truck event. Parents are  invited to bring their kids for “a fun night of searching and exploring.” The event is free for all ages, with hidden Easter eggs to find, trucks to explore, and many free items available form vendors.

Upcoming Troy Family Summer of Fun Movie Nights are scheduled for May 31, August 2, and December 14. The March 31 event will feature the movie “Hotel Transylvania 3.”

Most recently the Chamber announced that it has partnered with MicroNet, Inc., to give Chamber members exclusive access to specialized promotional tools using an online Members Information Center or portal. Members will have the option to offer coupons and special deals, post job listings, list event on a calendar, and network with other members.
