Rupert L. Nimmo
Rupert L. “Bud” Nimmo, 91, of Troy, born June 21, 1927 in St. Louis, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Bud was a faithful member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Maryville. He faithfully served his country in the United States . He was a craftsman, built the 2 homes his family lived in. He loved traveling the world, making jewelry from polished rocks and enjoyed the Ham Radio Club.
Surviving are his wife, Rita F. (nee Reed) Nimmo whom he married September 18, 1948 at Resurrection Catholic Church in St. Louis; Children, David A. Nimmo of Troy, Jane (Don) Hodge of Muscatine, Iowa and Debra (Kirk) Watson of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Joel (Melissa) Nimmo, Clay (Annette) Nimmo, Jeffrey (Meredith) Nimmo, Joy (Douglas) Munsch, Charity (Steve) Malke, Joshua (Christa) Hodge, Drew (Christina) Watson and Sara (Joey) Talladino; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Liberty, Patrick, Caden, Reed and Jessamine Nimmo, Theodore Munsch, Kalena Malke, Lauren and Jack Watson, Adaline and Caleb Talladino; sister, Gail Goudey of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Rose (nee Moeser) Nimmo; and his sister, Marcella Lindsay.
Visitation was held on March 19 at at Richeson Funeral Home in Troy.
Mass was held on March 19 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, with Rev. Joseph Havrilka officiating. Interment will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Collinsville.
