Keep Sending Us Your News!

In the world of newspaper publishing, there’s one thing we editors are forever grateful for: the people who send us news! Whether it involves a simple story tip, a concern, news about some milestone or achievement, a special event, or an important gathering of some kind, send it to us and we’ll give it every consideration. Like any business, we’re sometimes limited by time, space, and other factors, but please send it our way if you want it to be considered!
If it’s something important or time sensitive, involving a message that you have to get out no matter what, taking out an advertisement is your best bet. Advertisers can request to run a free news brief about the event as well, giving it even more exposure. Events involving monetary transactions or admission fees generally warrant an ad, with some editorial/publisher discretion. If you’re unsure of what your best option is, please let us know either by phone, email, or in person at the office. And if you want to stay for a cup of coffee, we can arrange that too!
News about clubs and club activities is always good, whether it involves the election of new officers, a service project, or a guest speaker. Photos are welcome. Weddings, anniversaries, and reunion pictures were everywhere in newspapers at one time.
The Times-Tribune currently publishes wedding and engagement pictures and notices for free, with only a $5 charge for publishing a second anniversary photo or baby picture.
Other types of news we welcome: Letters to the editor; business openings, expansions, or re-locations; news about an unusual project, hobby or collection; sporting, musical, or artistic achievements. With permission, we can often use a photo that you have posted on social media or elsewhere, or you can simply email a copy to us. Send it to: rensberry@timestribunenews.com.
