Jeannie Taveggia

Jeannie Margaret Taveggia passed away August 30, 2019, from complications during surgery for esophageal cancer.

Jeannie is survived by her sisters Faye Ann Taveggia, Marcia Lee Taveggia, and Lenise Taveggia Works (Don, spouse); her nephew, Anthony Michael Viviano (Kris, spouse); her great-nephew, Trenten Lee Viviano; uncles; aunts; and cousins.

Jeannie was born on October 24, 1959. She graduated from Collinsville High School in 1977 and studied American Sign Language at Boward Community College in South Florida to become an interpreter for the deaf. She was a legal secretary for many years. She grew up in Collinsville, Illinois, but lived 40 years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jeannie loved the ocean and the tropical weather. Snorkeling, collecting rocks, and gemstones and shells and fossils were her favorite past times.

Jeannie had a kind and generous spirit and was beautiful inside and out. She had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor. She loved her sisters dearly, her kitties and friends, and extended family. She was greatly loved by them in return. She will be sorely missed by all of them, but most of all, by her sisters.

A celebration of live service is planned at a later date.
