Fred Hoffman

Fred O. Hoffman, age 71 of Pierron,  died Saturday, November 2, at his home in Pierron.

 He was born on Saturday, November 15, 1947, in Edwardsville, the son of  Clarence and Alberta (nee Otto) Hoffman.

 He was raised in the Marine and New Douglas area.  He worked as a hod carrier for Becker Brick Company, Breese; Bill Savage Masonry, New Douglas and Zubal Masonry, Edwardsville. He enjoyed wood carving and barbequing.

Survivors include a sister, Fern Massey of Worden; brother, Ewald “Wally” (Lyhn) Hoffman of Troy; special friends, Jean & Darrell Rinderer or Highland and Laurie Coonce of Pocahontas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Leo Hoffman; mother, Alberta M. Hoffman; sister, Frieda Marie Hoffman; and brother, Edward J. Hoffman..

 A Private Graveside Service will be held at New Douglas City Cemetery in New Douglas.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Donor’s Choice.

Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland was in charge of arrangements.
