Couple Receives Adoption Award At Washington Event

Chris and Julie Tracy of Troy received the Congressional Angels in Adoption award this past week in Washington D.C. for their work as founders of the Equipping the Call Foster Closet.

Julie and her oldest daughter, Summer, traveled to Washington DC and met with Congressional leaders on the hill about issues related to foster care and adoption, at which time Julie was presented with a commemorative pin and certificate to recognize the work she and Chris are doing in the community to help foster families.

Congressman Shimkus was alerted to the work they are doing when Troy Mayor Al Adomite contacted he office, Julie said.

The two day event culminated in a gala at the Ronald Reagan centerr on Thursday November 14.
