Doris A. Reding

Doris A. Reding, age 87 of Saint Jacob, died Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Faith Care Center in Highland.

She was born on July 03, 1932, in Highland, the daughter of  Edgar and Florence (nee Mick) Weber.

On September 20, 1950, she married Rolland W. Reding at Marine.  He passed away on January 19, 2009.

She was a member of United Church of Christ of Marine.  She was also a  Sunday School Teacher for 15 years.  .

Doris was born in Highland, IL and grew up on a farm near Marine.  Following her marriage they operated a dairy and grain farm east of Highland.  In 1954 her husband entered the US Army and they spent two years at various locations.  When they returned they lived in Highland for two years.  They then moved to her parents family farm southwest of Marine where she helped her husband with farm work.  She enjoyed gardening, yard work, crafts and going to auctions.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie A. (Don) Gueldener of  Moro; grandchild, Jennifer L. (Mike) Schreck or Moro, Darren J. Gueldener, of Worden; sister, and Betty (Jack) Schuster of Pocahontas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar A. Weber; mother, Florence C. Weber, nee Mick; and husband, Rolland W. Reding.

Visitation will be held from 10  a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, at United Church of Christ of Marine in Marine.

Funeral services will ne held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the church, with Rev. Philip Kershner officiating.

Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland.

Memorial contributions may be made to United Church of Christ of Marine.
