Paula “Pat” Jordan

Paula “Pat”  Jordan, 90, of Troy, IL, born March 13, 1929 in East St. Louis, to the late Ford and Mattie (nee Stricker) Alger, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Glen Carbon.

Pat worked at Illinois Bell for many years but she was best known for her pies, which she baked for many restaurants and church functions in the area. She was a devout member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Jordan, whom she married March 18, 1952, and her daughter, Julia Ann Jordan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Lisa M. (Dave) Cook of Troy; Charles P. (Cheryl) Jordan of St. Jacob; Timothy G. (Pam) Jordan of Highland; grandchildren, Sarah Freeman; Alyssa Jordan and Samantha Jordan.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18 at Bethel Baptist Church, Troy and on  Wednesday February 19.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19, at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Lewis officiating.

Pat will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Frieden’s Cemetery, Troy.
