Barbara West

Barbara Ann West, 77, of Troy, IL, born Thursday, August 20, 1942 in Alton, IL and passed peacefully at her home on Friday, July 31, 2020.

Barbara retired from Walmart and had previously worked at the Cheese Shop and 40 Quick Shop in Troy.  She loved to read, play Farmville and watch TV.  She loved her family and the time she was able to spend with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Thomas West whom she married February 2, 1960 and he passed away on July 27, 2011.

Surviving are her children, George (Carol) West of Pierron, IL, Cathy (Jeff) Dunahee of Troy, IL and Vicki (Jeff) Nappier of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Chris (Karen) Wallace, Amber Nappier, Rosina (Randy Townsend) Nappier, Brandi (Donnie James) Nappier, Donna Knepper, Steven (Holly) Rogers, Andrea (Brion) Hopsin and Victoria Moss; great-grandchildren, Keira Dickerson, Hannah Wallace, Declan Nappier, Hannah M. Knepper and Belladonna M. Hopsin; her sisters Jackie (Larry) Middleton of Fenton, MO and Jo Ellen Caia of Collinsville, IL.

Barbara’s wishes were for a private family graveside service at Sunset Hills Cemetery.

Richeson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
