It lasted 16 minutes, not four as Mayor Allen Adomite said he expected it to be, but the Troy City Council met on Monday, January 4 despite having no action items on which to vote.

Due to COVID-19-related concerns, the meeting was held on Zoom..

Adomite wished everyone a Happy New Year before presiding over an event that consisted largely of reports from various departments. Crews fixed a water main break during the final moments of 2020, when rain and ice were started to fall. The design for the path extension along U.S. Highway 40 from Formosa Road to Spring Valley is about two weeks away from completion.

Some departments had nothing to report. Then it was over.

Because of the Martin Luther King Day holiday, the next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m.
