William “Bill” McNamee
William E. “Bill” McNamee, 69, of Maryville, born November 9, 1951 in Anaconda, Montana and passed away on February 9, 2021 at St. Louis University Medical Center, St. Louis, MO.
Bill was a retired Captain in the United States Airforce serving as a Meteorologist. He was a faithful member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, Council 9266, Troy, IL Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Assembly 8729, Troy, IL, Past Commander of VFW Post 976, Troy, IL, and was lead coordinator for many Friday Fish Fry’s and founding member of the RAM VAN Official Committee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Sr. and Helen I (nee Duffy) McNamee.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon G. Lynch of Maryville; daughters, Dawn M McNamee of St. Louis, and Kelly (Adam) Smith of Lisle; grandchildren, Elle Smith, Katherine Peter, Sydney Smith, Anna Peter, Mac Smith and Sarah Peter; brothers, Robert (Jona) McNamee Jr. of Great Falls, MT, Daniel McNamee of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; sisters, Janet (Robert) Bjornemo of Silverdale, Washington State, Margy (Phil) Reiss of Anaconda, Montana and Mary Pat (RH) Campbell of Falcon, Colorado; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral mass will be held 9:15 am Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
