Food Drive Slated by Public Works

Troy’s Public Works Department will join those all over the country in holding a Fill A Truck food drive during National Public Works Week, May 16-22.

Donors may drop off non-perishable goods at the following locations: City Hall, Ace Hardware, Tri-Township Public Library, Silver Creek and Henning elementary schools, Triad High School, Alfonzo’s Pizzeria and EJ Equipment.

All collected items will go to Ministries Unlimited.

Suggested donations are:

• Pasta and rice

• Canned or dry beans

• Dry cereal/oatmeal

• Jar spaghetti sauce

• Canned fruit

• Canned tuna fish

• Canned chicken

• Spam/sardines

• Canned pastas such as raviolis or spaghettios

• Macaroni and cheese

• Jelly

• Peanut butter

• Hearty soups and stews

• Canned chili

• Box dinners (hamburger/tuna helper)

• Snacks for kids/juice for kids (nonperishable)

• Condiments

• Toothpaste

• Cleaning products (dish soap, laundry detergent)

• Toilet paper/paper towels / tissue

• Shampoo/soap

• Diapers in larger sizes (5,6).
