The Southwestern Conference announced its all-conference selections for spring sports and both the boys soccer and girls volleyball teams from Collinsville were well represented on the squads.

In boys soccer, CHS landed eight players on the all-conference squad.

Yahir Figueroa, Braden Schrage, and Tagg Baker were named first-team all-conference.

Jackson Parrill and Dane Compton each made the 2nd team, while Alex Lorsbach and freshman Adam Reiniger were named to the third team.

“The success of this year’s team was on display with the amount of our boys chosen for all-conference,” said coach Rob Lugge. “We are very proud of these boys and only wish we could have recognized the other deserving players on this year’s team.”

Collinsville finished the season as co-champions of the SWC with Edwardsville. They went 8-2 in loop action. Overall they went 14-4 for the spring.

On the girls volleyball side of things, three Kahoks made all-conference.

Katie Dawson was named to the 2nd team while Kennedy Fisher and Sydney Sommer were on the 3rd team.

“We are super proud of our girls and their hard work earning them all-conference honors,” said coach Abby Hanger.

CHS was 8-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play which was good enough for 3rd in the standings. They placed fourth in the SWC conference tourney. Edwardsville won the conference tourney title.
