Kahoks Get Postseason Assignments

The IHSA has announced their “summer” sports postseason pairings for the 2021 season.

The Collinsville softball team is in the Sectional #8 complex in Class 4A. Due to COVID restrictions, the location of most regional and sectional games are listed as to be announced.

The Kahoks are the #3 seed in their sectional complex behind #1 seeded Edwardsville and second-seeded Belleville East.

Collinsville will host the #6 seed, Belleville West on June 2nd at 4:30 in the opening round of regional play. Should the Kahoks win they will face the winner of seventh-seeded Quincy and Belleville East. That game would be on June 3rd at a site to be announced.

The Collinsville girls soccer team is also seeded third in the Normal (Community) Class 3A sectional complex.

They will host third-seeded Belleville East on June 2nd in the second game of the day. In the regional opener, Quincy will square off with #2 seed Edwardsville. The winners will meet on June 4th in the regional title game in Collinsville.

The Kahoks baseball squad is in the Class 4A Sectional #8 Complex and has the #8 seed. They will square off with the 2019 4A state champions and arch-rivals Edwardsville in round one. That game will be in Edwardsville on June 4th.

Should they win, they will square off with the winner of Alton vs. Belleville West on June 7th. That site is to be determined.

On the track, the Collinsville girls team will compete in the Class 3A O’Fallon Sectional on June 3rd with the state meet the following weekend at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

The boys track team will travel north to Bloomington for the Class 3A Sectional on June 10th with the state meet the following weekend at EIU.
