Triad Wrestles By Roxana And O’Fallon

Entering the week with a 5-1 dual record and five straight wins, Triad ‘s wrestling unit had a big week. Over the course of three days, the team took on three opponents, all while being on the road.

The team opened with a March 18 trip to Roxana, where the Knights grappled with the host team and the O’Fallon Panthers. Triad claimed victory over both of these opponents.

In their dual contest with the Roxana Shells, Triad won by a total score of 64-18. Pins for the Knights were delivered by Chase Hall, Jackson Hampton, Sam Wheeler, and Seth Brooks. Collin North also picked up a major decision over his opponent by a score of 14-4 as well.

The Knights won by a large margin over the Panthers as well, grappling their way to a 64-12 team victory. A trio of pins were picked up by Chance Seip, Hall, and North. Aiden Postma and Seth Brooks delivered technical falls as well, winning 16-0 and 15-0, respectively.

Finishing off the week with a trip to take on a strong Edwardsville team, Triad’s winning streak came to an end. Falling by a team score of 49-27, the Knights still had several highlights. In the lighter weight ranks, Colby Couch and Seip both provided pins for the team.

The larger weight classes also proved fruitful for Triad. Seth Brooks and North both pinned opponents in their matches. By a decision after a score of 3-1, Thomas Walsh also came through with a win for the Knights.
