Lois Tarrant

Lois A. Tarrant, 79, of Collinsville, born Monday, June 23, 1941 in East St. Louis and passed away peacefully at her home in Collinsville, on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Lois was a “Class of 59” graduate of East St. Louis High School and was active in the class reunions.  She was an active member of the Collinsville REC Club, where she prepared and served many delicious meals throughout the years.  She loved to cook, craft, and was always ready to care for others.  Lois enjoyed spending time with her friends and cherished all the time she could spend with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burtus and Julia (Olsen) Rogers Sr.; sisters, Dorothy “Jean” (Robert) Polka and Doris (Donald) Hemken; brothers, Burtus “Sunny” (Patti) Rogers Jr. and Charles “Butch” (Roxanne) Rogers.

Surviving are her husband, David Tarrant of Collinsville; children, Tracey (Sulya) (Patrick) Blache , Amy (Sulya) (Mark) Terveer; and step-son, Dennis (Theresa) Tarrant; grandchildren, Ashley (Albright) Moritz, Zakary Arban, Allyson Arban, Jordyn Albright, Duane Tarrant, Darby Tarrant, Drake Tarrant, Jacob Terveer, Kamryn Terveer, Loren Terveer, Gage Terveer and Bailey Terveer; great-grandchild, Layne Moritz; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call 5 to 8 pm on Friday, June 11 and 10 to 11 am Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Richeon Funeral Home, Troy.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Steve Gray officiating.  Interment in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
