Team USA Volleyball 2-0 Halfway Through Pool Play

The USA Volleyball Women’s National Team and Collinsville native Michelle Bartsch- Hackley are off to a hot start at the Tokyo Olympics sporting a 2-0 record through July 26th.

Against China, July 26th. the USA came into the matchup ranked #1 in the world with China sitting at #3. The U.S. won the matchup in straight sets with a 29-27, 25-22, 25-21. Bartsch-Hackley had 15 kills in the match.

In their opener on July 24th against Argentina, the USA swept through the Argentines 25-20, 25-19, 25-20. Bartsch-Hackley had 11 attack points, including ten kills, and also recorded two service points for the USA during the match.

The USA led their pool after two matches and faced Turkey at 7:45 AM Central time on July 29. Their final pool play match is July 30th, against the Russian Olympic Committee Team. The Russia-USA matchup is slated for 9:05 PM Central time.
