Anna L. Reinheimer

Anna L. Reinheimer, 96, of St. Jacob, born Thursday, August 13, 1925 in St. Jacob and passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Cedarhurst of Highland.

Anna was a life long member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ where she held many positions.  She was Church Secretary for over 19 years, taught Sunday school and was a member and past president of Women’s Fellowship.  She was a graduate of St. Jacob High School, class of 1943, and attended Illinois State University in Normal.   She worked on the St. Jacob History Book providing many pictures and stories, served as an election judge for Madison County, and was a member of the St. Jacob American Legion Auxiliary.  She loved to garden, spend summers in Kittredge, CO and listen to or watch the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball games.  She loved and cared for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Reinheimer whom she married June 24, 1948 at St. Jacob United Church of Christ.  He passed away on March 31, 2008; her parents, Daniel and Freda (nee Frey) Widicus.

Surviving are her children, Wade (Mary Jane) Reinheimer of Pomona, CA, Becky (Franklin) Reinheimer Baker of St. Jacob, and Wendy (Tom) Grant of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Eric (Kerri) Reinheimer, Todd (Crystal) Reinheimer, Lauren and Andrew Grant; great-grandchildren, Maverick, Greyson and Bodhi Reinheimer; her former daughter-in-law, Jill Moore of CA; and friend to many.

Visitation for Anna were from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, August 23, at Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, and 10 to 11 am Tuesday, August, 24, 2021 at St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob.

Funeral services were held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 24 at St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, with Rev. Phillip Barbier officiating.  Interment will be Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob.

Aebischer-Richeson Funeral Home, St. Jacob, was in charge of the arrangegments.
