Jarrod Scotty Bailey

Jarrod “Scotty” Bailey, 54 of Troy, born Thursday, April 6, 1967 in Huntingburg, IN and passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home in Troy.

Scotty was employed at William Bedell ARC, Wood River.  He enjoyed watching sports especially his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.  Special Olympics was a big part of his life, softball throw, long jump and bowling.  He enjoyed Patrick’s Mustang, watching Dukes of Hazard, Law and Order and CSI.  Scotty enjoyed a good buffet and having his hunka hunka burning love.  He was the sunshine of his families life, never meeting a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernd “Ben” C. Bailey; and his grandparents, Paul and Betty Frederick.

Surviving are his mother, Teresa L. (nee Frederick) Jones; sisters, Nikki (Paul) Elsing of Trenton, Sommer (Patrick) McAley of Troy, Tessa Jones of Troy; his brother, Paul C. Bailey of Troy, IL; nieces and nephews, Alex and Layne Elsing, Madison and Zoey McAley, Paris Price, Manny, Annabelle and Ricky Coyote; step-father, David L. Jones, and many dear friends.

Visitation for Scotty will be held 4 to 6 pm on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy.

Celebration of Scotty’s life will be held 6 pm on Friday.  Scotty’s family has asked that you wear your favorite sports team jersey in celebration of his life well lived.
