TMS Baseball, Softball Teams Advance To SemiFinals

The deep runs for Triad Middle School’s baseball and softball squads continued on October 4 as both squads picked up wins in the State Quarterfinals round.

In baseball, the Crusaders cruised to an 11-0 victory over Wesclin. The win moved the squad into an October 5 matchup with Mascoutah to determine if Triad will play for the SIJHSAA State Championship or the third place matchup, both which will be played on October 7.

The Lady Crusaders also advanced to the semifinals, after edging out Mascoutah 5-3. Next up for the unit is a battle with Carterville on October 5 to send Triad to the state championship or third place game on October 7.
