On Sunday evening, a man dressed in a bear costume made his way to Highway 40 on his journey across America to raise awareness and $15,000 each for five charities: Villa Esperanza (Disabled Community), National Breast Cancer Foundation, Active Minds (Mental Health), Autism Society for America, and Environmental Defends.
Sunday’s journey through the region marked BearSun’s 100th day walking from Los Angeles to New York City.
So far, BearSun has surpassed the goal for three of the five charities (National Breast Cancer Foundation, Autism Society for America, and Active Minds) that he has set up GoFund Me pages for that are linked to his website (iambearsun.com).
People can track BearSun and make donations to the causes on his website.
