Velma Buske

Velma Ruth Buske passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at her home in Troy. Velma was 82 years old.

Velma was born on September 20, 1939 in Salem, to Harry and Hazel Helm. She graduated high school and worked as a real estate broker. Velma owned and operated Gateway Properties in Collinsville. She married Glenn Allen Buske on September 5, 1959 in Litchfield.

Velma is survived by her husband, Glenn, and 3 sons, Brad, Greg and Mike Buske.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Troy. Funeral service will begin at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Graveside service will be at Mt. Olive City Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Lunch will follow at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church Hall.
