Garry Bacon

Garry L. Bacon, age 80 of Saint Jacob, died Monday, December 06, 2021, at his home, Highland.

He was born on Saturday, July 19, 1941, in Patterson, MO, the son of  Emmanuel and Martha (nee Woods) Bacon.

On Saturday, June 10, 2000, he married Trudy Ann May Bacon nee Moore  at Highland,  who survives.

He graduated from McCray Dewey High School (currently Triad High School), Troy, in 1959.  He served in the US Air Force from November 1959 to October 1963.  He lived in California, Montana and Nevada.  In the 1990’s he moved back this area.  He worked for Rural King, Highland, for over 23 years.  Prior, he worked for HQ in Fairview Heights.  He worked in retail sales for over 50 years and retired in April of 2020.  He enjoyed yard work, carpentry, gardening and playing pool .

Survivors include his wife, Trudy Ann May Bacon (nee Moore), Highland; son, Darrell Lynn (Pam) Bacon, MT; daughter – Melissa Ann-Lorine Banovz, Breese; Grandchildren, Randy Lee Bacon,  Summer Marie Banovz and Caine Michael James Banovz of Pontoon Beach; brothers Bobby Daryl (Peggy) Bacon, O Fallon and Donald Gay (Judy) Bacon, Pocahontas; sisters Barbara Yvonne Stratman from Wentzville, MO, Ellen Janene Bell from Saint Ann, MO, and Linda Kathryn McDaniel from Las Vegas, NV; and his first wife – Kathleen Yvonne Lewis (Married from 1961 to 1980).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel Bacon and Martha Bacon (nee Woods) and two sons, Todd Lindsey Bacon and Randy Lee Bacon.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.

Visitation was on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, and Monday, December 13, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.

Funeral Services were held  on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.

Interment was at Marine Cemetery in Marine.
