Jerry Storer

Jerry Irene Storer, 77, Troy,  passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born on September 6, 1944 in Olney, to Maynard Lathrop and Helen Lathrop.   In 1962 she married, best friend and love of her life, Carl Leon Storer.  They were blessed with three children.  She is preceded in death by son, Richard Storer; her parents, Maynard “Shorty” and Helen Lathrop; her in-laws, Paul and Agnes Bratton.

Jerry is survived by her husband, Carl Leon Storer of Troy; son, Rodney Storer of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Rhonda Irwin of Bryan, TX; brother, Jeff Lathrop of Olney; 2 sisters, Judy Booze of East Peoria, and Janice Kay Klinger of Wendelin; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Noble High School in Noble, with the Class of 1962, and graduated from Key Punch School in Great Falls, MT in 1962.  She married in 1962 and moved to Great Falls, Montana where her husband was in the U.S. Air Force.  They later moved back to where she lived until her death.

Jerry loved to garden, sew, read, cook, work puzzles, and word find books.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.

At her request, she was cremated by St. Louis Cremations and will be buried at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney, in a private family graveside service sometime in early January 2022.
