Patricia Kay “Patty” Zelechowski

Patricia Kay “Patty” Zelechowski, age 64, of Collinsville, born on December 7, 1957, in O’Fallon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at her residence.

In years past, Patty worked at Wal-Mart in Collinsville in the lawn and garden department.  She more recently was a homemaker, devoted to her loving family.  She was a talented artist and loved to do many types of crafts.  Patty had an eye for decorating and enjoyed sharing her talents with others.  She and Leonard spent their time camping together and going to garage sales.  Above all, her family meant the world to her.  Losing her leaves a painful void, but the wonderful memories of Patty will never be forgotten.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Janice, nee Hunsaker Warner, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Leonard Zelechowski, who she married on May 3, 1975; her children, Leonard Scott Zelechowski (Gina Covey) of Potosi, MO, and Lance (Leah) Zelechowski of Collinsville; her grandchildren, Levi James Covey and Claire Marie Covey; her siblings, Dave (Kathy) Warner of Belleville,  and Debbie (Edward)  Zelechowski; her nephews, David (Molly) Warner of Troy, and Jimmy Young of Fairview Heights; her niece, Heather Zelechowski of Fairview Heights; and her great-nephews, Asher Warner and Layne Sparks.

Memorials may be made to PAWS Jackson Animal Shelter, Jacksonville, for Patty’s love of animals, especially her late, beloved Sheltie, Buddy.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, with Pastor Hal Santos officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon.
