Evangeline Faith Kennedy
Evangeline Faith Kennedy, 82, of Troy, born Saturday, September 2, 1939 in Bement, and passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Liberty Village in Maryville.
Faith attended and was an active member of Glenview Church of the Nazarene, Glen Carbon. She was a writer of Poetry and a musician, playing any and all instruments, she sang with the Kings Hearld Trio for many years. Faith was proud to be an educator, teaching for many years in schools in the area. She was a collector of antiques, Sheffield knives and daggers from the late 1800’s. She and Charles were member of NRA and enjoyed meeting and greeting friends at the many Gun Shows. Most of all she loved her family and the times they spent together.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Kennedy; parents, Lawrence Reynolds and Ida A. (nee Dawson) and Roger Stone.
Surviving are her husband, Charles S. Kennedy whom she married December 30, 1989 in Collinsville; her children, Faith “Vonnie” Whitmer-Jimenz and Mark Lee Whitmer both of Anderson, IN, Matt Lee (Neilly) Whitmer of Bloomfield, IN, Clay (Cheryl) Kennedy of Laport, TX, Rhonda Kennedy of Maryville, IL, Julie (Bill) Kennedy of Boynton Beach, FL and Kathleen Kennedy of Collinsville; 13 grandchildren, David “Sammy” (Shauntel) Kimenez, Landon and Cameron Jimenez, Matthew “Jordy” Whitmer, Elani Faith (Justin) Pope, Jack and Abigail Constable, Amber (Jerimiah) Miller, Kelli and Autumn Hunsinger; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Gene “Stoney” Stone, Ann Stone, Ruby Liggett and Louis White; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation for Faith will be 9:30 am to 11 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Rick Unger officiating. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery in Troy.
