Bid Accepted For Demolition Of 110 E. Market St.

The Troy City Council met on February 22 for their second meeting of the month due to the President’s Day holiday on the 21st. Two public hearings were held before the meeting to receive water service and pre-annexation agreements for 225 Michael Dr. and 8333 W. Kirsch in unincorporated Troy. As part of the agreements if the city grow to touch their property in the next 20 years they will be annexed into the city. Both ordinances approving the water service and pre-annexations were approved at the end of the regular meeting.
Two bids were approved during the meeting. The first was from S. Shafer Excavating for $34,300 was accepted to tear down the building at 110 E. Market St. for the new municipal parking lot. The second was for a sewer camera van for $37,000 from Broadway Ford.
The only other news was that the grant for $300,000 from Metro East Parks and Recreation Department was approved for the trail extension past C.A. Henning School.
The next meeting will be held March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall.
