Mary Jo Hein

Mary Jo Hein, 84, of Troy, IL, born Monday, October 11, 1937 in Pinckneyville, IL and passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Cambridge House in Maryville, IL.

Mary Jo was a faithful member of Nameoki United Methodist Church in Granite City, IL.  She enjoyed reading the Bible and the Daily Guide Post Magazine.  She was always ready to have a serving of Weather Vane Ice Cream, watch her St. Louis Cardinal’s Baseball team and work on her find a word puzzles.  She was an animal lover an care giver for many pets throughout the years and especially her Kitty Baxter.  She loved her family and always enjoyed the time she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. “Zeke” Hein; her daughter, Connie Bruch; parents, George D. and Roberta (nee Caldwell) Pyatt and her sister, Barbara Burns.

Surviving are her children, Steven (Amy) Hein of Troy, IL and Beth (Jeff) Wallace of Decatur, IL; her son-in-law, John Bruch of Glen Carbon, IL; grandchildren, Zach Bruch, Melanie Hein and Jessica Partney; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, her dear friend Marsha Watson and many other friends.

Visitation for Mary Jo will be 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Nameoki United Methodist Church, Granite City, IL.

Services will be held 4 pm Sunday August 7, at Nameoki United Methodist Church, 1900 Pontoon Road, Granite City, IL 62040 with Rev. Susan Harrison officiating.  Interment will be held in the Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, IL
