Chamber Seeking Award Nominees
By RANDY PIERCE
Nominees are being sought for awards in eight different categories by the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce and must be submitted by no later than Oct. 20.
Along with an award for the community person of the year, individuals who will be recognized include the teacher of the year, first responder of the year and future star of the year.
To be honored with awards also are the large and small businesses of the year, non-profit business of the year and chamber member of the year.
Anyone wishing to submit a nomination for a business should go to: troymaryvillecoc.com/form/view/25248 while the individual award nomination forms can be found at: troymaryvillecoc.com/form/view/18907.
The nomination forms are simply structured, asking for the name of the person submitting it, the name of the nominee, the category and why the nomination is being made.
Winners of these awards will be announced at the “Chamber’s Got Talent” event scheduled for Oct. 28, at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville.
