Triad CUSD No. 2 Board of Education meets today

Triad CUSD No. 2 Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the central office, 203 East Throp St in Troy.

At the meeting, district officials plan to recognize the Triad Girls Tennis team who recently placed third in the IHSA state competition. Board documents state Triad is now the fourth tennis team (boys or girls) from southern Illinois to ever place as a team at the State competition.

Triad High School Basketball Team is seeking approval for an overnight stay to participate in a tournament Nov. 25-26 in Springfield. The Spanish class is also seeking approval for a trip Nov. 11, a non-attendance day, to the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. 

Board members are expected to have a discussion on the TLS house. Triad Superintendent Dr. Jason Henderson is slated to provide some additional details about the house. 

Approval of the fiscal 2022 audit is also listed on the agenda, as is approval of donations and personnel matters. 

In addition to the above items, several school administrator reports are expected. Reports on wellness, facilities, curriculum, special education, technology, student programs and human resources are also listed. 

A recommended closed session is also listed on the agenda.
