Festival of Trees this weekend at Friedens UCC
Friedens United Church of Christ is inviting the public to tour its first annual Festival of Trees event, the proceeds of which will benefit local students and their families.
This weekend the public can tour numerous trees and wreaths decorated and donated by local businesses for the event. The items will be raffled off and the funds raised will benefit Triad Strong, which seeks to assist students and families in times of difficulty.
The displays will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at the church, 207 East Center Street in Troy. That evening, from 5-8 p.m Santa will also be available for pictures. Another viewing will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 and music will be provided that evening form 5-8 p.m. by Olivia Bosaw and Matt Billings.
A matinee viewing is also set for 1-4 p.m. Dec. 4. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided at the events. For more information visit Friedensucc-troy.org or call 618-667-6535.
