Santa’s fire truck tour moved up to Wednesday

Times-Tribune staff

Santa’s firetruck tour of Troy has been moved to 5 p.m. Wednesday due to potential hazardous winter weather.

The annual event hosted by the Troy Fire Protection District was scheduled for Thursday evening, but a massive winter storm is set to descend on the area that day. Firefighters said the safety of the community is paramount.

The event features Santa riding atop one of the district’s fire trucks, which is decorated in holiday flair. A map provided by the district shows the route.

Santa will also make stops at Tri-Township Public Library and commuter parking lot near the intersection of South Main Street and U.S. Highway 40 to accommodate all the children and adults who wish to see him.

For more information and updates on the event visit the TFPD Facebook page.
