Several Collinsville Kahok seniors agreed to play collegiately in their respective sports.
Girls basketball players sign
Two Kahok girls basketball players have signed to continue their athletic careers in college.
Megan Janson has agreed to continue her career in Champaign at Parkland College while Jenna Scheller chose to stay in the Metro East. She will attend Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville.
Football Kahoks sign
Three Kahok players from their back-to-back playoff teams have signed to play college football.
All-state two-way player Kolby Anderson and CHS all-time rushing leader Jerry Richardson will both play at McKendree this fall. Javier Oseguaera has signed to play for Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.
Schrage gets honor
CHS-grad Braden Schrage received the Larry Petri Award from the soccer program at SWIC.
The award is given to one male and one female sophomore soccer player who shows the highest level of dedication to the sport.
Lee wins pole vault
Jackson Lee, a sophomore at Illinois College recently won the pole vault at the Jim Green Invite in Jacksonville on Feb. 4.
Lee cleared 4.15 meters or 13’ 7.5” to win. He also placed fifth in the 55-meter hurdles
He took second place a week later at Monmouth College at 4.0 meters or 13’ 1.5”
