The recruiting class for Purdue Northwest women’s soccer team was strengthened recently as Triad senior Abby Schaft committed to the program.
“I really just liked the environment and the campus,” Schaft remarked about the Indiana school.
The Lady Knight has found plenty of success already in her soccer career, winning two state-championships. Schaft has scored six goals and three assists over that stretch as a defender. The Lady Knights have a combined record of 49-0-1 over that stretch.
She also has excitement for being able to play as part of the Pride, “I look forward to being able to compete at the next level and have fun.”
The Pride play at the Division II level and compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Other members of the league include Wayne State, Davenport and UW Parkside.
At Purdue Northwest, Schaft plans to major in Mechanical Engineering for technology.
The recent commit gave thanks to, “My mom and dad.”
