Triad’s Jackie Barkus is one of the most recent Lady Knights to sign with Culver-Stockton soccer.
“I loved the coach and the school is smaller. There’s lots of Triad people that have been there too,” Barkus said of choosing Culver-Stockton.
Barkus, a defender, has been a part of Triad’s roster during their last two seasons that resulted in state championships. The Lady Knights have a combined record of 49-0-1 over that stretch.
The future Wildcat looks forward to playing on the next level, “I’m very excited to play for a few more years and to play for their coach.”
Culver-Stockton is coming off a 6-11-1 season in the fall. They finished 13-4-2 the previous season.
An NAIA school, Culver-Stockton’s athletic teams compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The conference has 14 member schools across the states of Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Culver-Stockton itself is located in the north-eastern Missouri city of Canton.
The signee, who plans to study physical therapy, gave thanks to, “My parents for supporting me throughout my select and high school years.”
