Koen Rodebush has made his collegiate football home official, recently pledging to Iowa’s Simpson College.
“It’s close to home and I felt really comfortable there,” the future Storm spoke of the Indianola, Iowa school.
Rodebush, a defensive back, will join the storm with multiple years of starting experience from Triad. The Knight finished his career with 8 interceptions.
The senior looks forward to making the move to the next level, “It means a lot to me. It’s always been a dream of mine to play in college.”
Simpson College competes at the Division III level and as a member of the American Rivers Conference. Eight of the league’s nine members are in Iowa, with the lone exception being Nebraska Wesleyan.
The Storm are coming off of consecutive 1-9 seasons, but Rodebush still sees the program in a positive light.
“They have really nice facilities and the coaches felt involved,” the recent signee spoke of Simpson’s football system.
Rodebush, who plans to study criminal justice, gave thanks to his high school coaches as well as, “My family for supporting me along the way.”
