There were 15 individual personal best results and four new FMCHS records set during this first competition for the Griffins track and field squad since March of 2022. Those records were in the 60, 400 and 800-meter runs plus the 400-meter relay.
The meet’s champions included Mia Range – five feet, three inches in high jump, Kaitlyn Hatley – 1:02.15 in the 400-meter run, Elena Rybak – 2:18.2 in the 800-meter run, Jane Cummins – 5:48.31 in the 1600-meter run and the 400-meter relay team consisting of Hatley, Cummins, Rybak and Lilly Gilbertson – 4:20.48. Range was second in the 200 with a time of 29.23.
For the boys, the 800-meter relay team of Tyler Ahring, Liam Boeving, Levi Huber and Nolan Shearer came in fourth place with a time of 9:53 with Ahring opening the run in only 2:17.
