Girl Scouts, Upward Basketball fill the pantry shelves at Ministries Unlimited

Local Girl Scout Troop 461 in Troy and St. Jacob Girl Scout Service Unit on March 11 coordinated a Spring Showers collection for Ministries United. 

Scouts also participated with distribution of the bags and collecting the items, organizers said.  

“Thanks to both of these organizations for their generosity and commitment to the community,” Ministries Unlimited said. “Your efforts are greatly appreciated by Ministries Unlimited and those whom we serve.”

Scouts stayed following the event and refilled the pantry shelves with the much-needed personal hygiene supplies. Organizers said along with the efforts of Upward Basketball from Troy United Methodist Church, which recently held a toilet paper drive, the pantry shelves will be stocked for several months to come.
