Dawson to keep Ward 3 seat on Troy Council

In the single contested race for Troy City Council, incumbent Dan Dawson retained his Ward 3 seat following a win over James DeCarli. 

Unofficial results posted by the Madison County Clerk’s Office show Dawson claimed 114 votes to DeCarli’s 65 votes, about 64% to 36% respectively. Both ran as independents, according to the ballot. 

Running unopposed were Ward 1 Councilperson Tony Manley, Ward 2 Councilperson Troy Turner and Ward 4 Councilperson Deborah Knoll.
