Honoring those who served

Many community members on Monday attended ceremonies in Troy to honor on Memorial Day those who sacrificed their lives in service of the U.S. Armed Forces. In this photo, young men and women from Scouting Troops 8038 post the colors at the Tri-Township Memorial in Tri-Township Park. The guest speaker was Vietnam Veteran and Lions Club member Tim Greenfield. Pastor Kent Wilson of Crossview Church offered prayers during the ceremony. The Troy Community Band also played patriotic ensembles throughout the event, which was presented by the Troy Lions Club. (Photo by Pat Pratt)
