Gary John Wiesemeyer

Gary John Wiesemeyer, 80, residing in Rock Island, IL passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023.  Gary was born on October 28th, 1942, in East St. Louis, IL to Russell and Stella Wiesemeyer.  He grew up in Troy, IL and was a graduate – and proud supporter – of Triad High School and their athletics program. 

Gary spent the majority of his professional career running Wiesemeyer Service Station in, Troy, IL, which was founded by his father. Gary always loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals – he was a fan until the day he died, regardless of the names and adjectives he used to describe many players and managers over the years. 

Survivors include 4 children, two daughters Bonnie (Pat) Dugger, Rachel (Bob) Miklos and two sons Chris (Kendra) Wiesemeyer, and Tyler (Kara) Wiesemeyer, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Linda Niedringhaus.

There will be a celebration of life at the Troy Park on June 10, 2023 from 12:00-4:00.
