The Southwestern Conference has released its all-conference squads for the spring 2023 competition season with several Kahok athletes making the list in their respective sports.
Track and field
Throwers Ellie Rhinehart and Craig Hall made the Honorable Mention All-SWC team.
In the shot put, Hall took third with a toss of 10.78 meters or 35’ 4 ½”. Dallas Jenkins of Edwardsville won with a throw of 37’ 5”.
Rhinehart tossed the discus 31.59 meters or 103’ 8”. She finished in third place behind conference champion Kaitlyn Morningstar and her throw of 40.04 meters or 131’ 4”.
Edwardsville won the SWC track title.
Softball
Three Kahoks were named to the All-SWC Honorable Mention squad.
Katie Bardwell hit .262 with a slugging percentage of .426. She tied for the team lead in doubles with four and triples with three.
Lexi Rafalowski made the team from her leadoff spot. She had a .317 batting average with an on-base percentage of .434. She tied Bailey Demick for the lead in runs with 15 with a team-leading 24 stolen bases.
Demick was the final member of the conference team. She hit .301 with an on-base percentage of .380 and a slugging percentage of .508. She had four doubles, three triples, and a home run.
The softball Kahoks went 6-21 overall but 4-9 in SWC play including winning three of their final five conference contests.
Soccer
The Kahoks had three girls make the all-conference soccer squad as well.
Jordan Gary, a Saint Louis University commit, was named first team All-SWC. She had six goals and two assists on the season.
Lainey Bolandis was named to the second team. She amassed four assists on the season while her fellow defensive teammate Shelby Hawk was named Honorable Mention all-conference.
O’Fallon won the league title and the Class 3A state championship. CHS finished 3-12-5.
