Lakeview Garden Club is excited to sponsor “Explore Drost Park Rock Hunt” for the 3rd year.
Members & friends have painted 100+ rocks that will be “planted” weekly throughout the month of July in Drost Park, Maryville. Celebrate the wonders of Drost’s Parks walking trails, gardens, tennis courts, playgrounds or catch a fish in the lake while searching for a rock to keep. If you find a rock with a flower pot, cherry or chick & a message on the back a $10 gift card from Maryville Feed & Home, Bobby’s or Chick-fil-A will be waiting for you at Maryville Public Library.
Lakeview Garden Club wants to thank everyone for supporting our successful plant sale in May. The proceeds help fund many of our area projects such as the Rock Hunt, Willoughby Farms-Arbor Day, Kreitner Schools plants, Blue Star Marker-Armed Forces Memorial in Maryville Park, Collinsville & Maryville Food Pantry, 4-H & area nursing homes to name a few.
By attending District or State meetings, workshops & Gardening Schools, in person or on zoom, members share & explore new gardening techniques. Community Grants, State and National Scholarships for students are also available & can contact us for more information.
In June members toured Tenderloin Farm – Lavender Farm, Edwardsville. We experienced beautiful varieties of lavender, the versatility and its benefits.
