Triad welcomes students’ return

Triad Superintendent Dr. Jason Henderson is welcoming students back for the upcoming 2023-24 school year, which may see one of the district’s highest enrollments ever.

“Our faculty and administration are excited to welcome students back on August 16th and are looking forward to another successful school year,” Henderson said.

The district is one of few in Madison County which has seen an annual increase in enrollment in recent years. Henderson said enrollment passed 4,000 in the prior school year and will likely exceed that number this year.

“Last Year, the Triad District enrolled over 4,000 students for the first time,” Henderson said. “We are one of the few districts in Madison County and the State of Illinois to see continued growth in the past few years.  Based on our current registration numbers, we expect our enrollment to continue to increase for the 2023-24 school year.”

To accommodate the uptick in student enrollment the district has, and is currently, in the process of adding several new staff members.

“We’ve added seven new teaching positions including three new special education and one vocational education position,” Henderson said. “In total, Triad has 29 new certified staff members joining our faculty for the 2023-24 school year.”

The first day of school at Triad is Aug. 16. School calendars, hours and other information can be found in this special section of the Times-Tribune
