Michael R. Holley

Michael R. Holley, age 71 of Collinsville, IL, born December 13, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family.
 
Michael was a retired chemical operator.  He was an avid Beatles fan, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, attending sporting events, and watching Notre Dame football.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandkids.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lenora (nee Mueller) Holley.
 
Surviving are his wife, Nola (nee Gould) Holley, whom he married April 22, 1972; two sons:  Michael Holley Jr. of St. Charles, MO and Jason Holley of Collinsville, IL; five grandchildren:  Zachary, Raegan, Jadyn, Alexa, and Cameron; a brother, Kenneth (Rosanne) Holley of Gillespie, IL; a sister, Judith (Charles) Price of Livingston, IL; brothers and sisters-in-law:  Gwen (Jay) Hilmes of Maryville, IL, Bonnie Chivers of Belleville, IL, and Weldon (Susan) Gould of Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Michael’s wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
 
Memorials are suggested to the Senior Citizens Center in Glen Carbon, IL or Partners for Pets and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
