MARYVILLE — Fundraising efforts are underway in Maryville to construct a new pavilion at the Village’s Fireman’s Park. The American Legion Entertainment Pavilion will be used for concerts, movies and the annual Firemen’s Homecoming.
Spearheaded by a subcommittee of the Maryville Parks and Recreation Committee, the fundraiser is currently focused on donations of named bricks at the new pavilion. As part of the recent Winter Market, committee members were encouraging residents to consider a ‘lasting gift’ by naming a brick in honor of a loved one.
Brick donations are $125 which will allow the donor three lines of 13 letters each for the inscription. Donations can be made through the Collinsville Area Community Foundation, PO Box 506, Maryville, IL 62052. Please note Build Maryville in the memo line of the check.
