Triad Knights Ice Hockey Club delivers gifts to Our Little Haven

by Times Tribune Staff

TROY — On Monday Dec. 18, the Triad Knights Ice Hockey Club Seniors went to deliver Christmas gifts at Our Little Haven in St Louis.

According to information provided, the team collected gifts and gift cards for 64 Families that are part of the program.

Our Little Haven serves children who are young (birth through 10 years old and their families) and they have been through a lot – a lot of violence, a lot of abuse, a lot of physical and mental health issues The result of these concerns creates a lack of trust, a lack of empathy, and a lack of self-care and care for others. The science is clear and tells us that the formative years (birth through 10) are absolutely crucial to learn (from our birth or adoptive/foster parents/families/caregivers) how to build the very important Life-Foundation of knowing who we are, how to trust, how to love, and how to be empathic which they build upon as the children continue to grow.

Triad Knights Varsity Hockey will have a game against Alton Varsity on Thursday December 21 at 8:30 pm at RP Lumber Center Ice Rink in Edwardsville.
