Troy Fire releases Santa Route map

TROY — Santa Claus is coming to town and the Troy Fire Protection District is making sure people know where to go to see the Christmas icon.

The Troy Fire Protection District will escort Santa on a firetruck from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday Dec. 21. According to information provided, Santa visiting Troy has been a long-standing tradition. Each year elves decorate a fire truck and make sure Santa is ready to tour. The Troy Police Department will also assist during the event.

This year’s Santa route includes the following streets from start to finish. It was noted that a few additional locations have been added, but the information was not available as of press time. The Troy Fire Protection District encourages people who live on a cul-de-sac to move vehicles into driveways so there is room for the firetruck to turn around. A live feed of the event featuring Santa, the Grinch and other holiday hijinks as well as a more detailed route map will be available on the “Troy Fire Protection District” Facebook page. Troy Fire suggests that people who are not on the route go to the library or the park and ride.

The Troy Fire Protection District has released the route for this year’s Santa visit. The Troy Fire Protection will be driving Santa Claus going from approximately 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 21.
