Proffitt Finishes 8th at State

TROY — Triad Senior Brylee Proffitt bowled her way to a top ten finish landing in eighth place at the 2024 IHSA State tournament held Friday, Feb. 16 and 17 at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford.

With a field of over 120 competitive girls Brylee started Friday, Feb. 16th with a high game of 237 and a total pinfall of 1258, qualifying 11th for Saturday’s competition.  Brylee stayed consistent for each three-game sets on Saturday with a 635 series for each set and a high game of 258.  Her total pinfall for the two days of competition was 2528 giving her an average of 210. Traveling with Brylee were head coach Frannie Kolesa and assistant coach Alaina Burrelsman. 

The individual state champion title was earned by Senior Arianna Arraujo, from Palos Hills (Stagg) with a 12-game total of 2634. Livia Montgomery from Collinsville who also competed with her Kahok team, was the only other individual from Southern Illinois to finish in the top 12 with a total pinfall of 2505, finishing in 11th place.
