They depict an aerial map of the school, broken down in the color-coded areas. Area C covers the school’s main entrance and some classrooms while Areas A and E are mostly devoted to classroom spaces. Areas B and D cover the more open space parts of the school — cafeteria, gyms, restrooms, etc.
Triad Facilities Director Brian Mattingly told the superintendent and board members in attendance that the contractors have taken advantage of the recent warm spell that started before Christmas.
All building footings in Area A were completed by Dec. 5, for example. A structural wall and adjoining stair tower have been going up in the same area since early last month; the wall was completed by Dec. 31. Area A electrical was going underground on Dec. 31.
Concrete rebar for Area C footings was laid on Dec. 31.
Underground plumbing in Area E was underway on Dec. 12. Footings were poured in Area E on Dec. 12.
